Tunmise Olowojoba is as a Project Associate with JSI Research and Training Institute. She studied Medicine, Health, and Society and African-American Diaspora Studies at Vanderbilt University. During her undergraduate years, she conducted research with the Medicine, Health, and Society Department and explored the subjects of structural and cultural competency in pre-medical education. She also served as an assistant public health practitioner on London Borough of Hackney’s Public Health Team. In this role, she co-presented on the US Healthcare System for key stakeholders on the Public Health Team, conducted research on Open Spaces, Walkability and Health for a local health charity, and attended a Public Health England meetings as a co-representative for the London Borough of Hackney. In her spare time, Tunmise enjoys running, reading, traveling and making Pinterest boards.
