Sam Stallworth, MA, serves as a Specialist for JSI’s Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) project. Sam has over eight years of experience as a public health researcher and direct provider of services related to HIV/AIDS prevention and surveillance. He has extensive experience in the provision of technical assistance and training to federal- and state- funded grantees in the collection and submission of HIV/AIDS data, development and review of adherence to quality assurance measures, and the analysis and preparation of data for reporting. In addition to providing direct technical assistance to agencies, Sam also serves as a lead trainer for both the Social Network Strategy and Couples HIV Testing and Counseling. In addition to his work with the CBA project, Sam also works with the Affordable Care Act Enrollment project, working with the Technical Assistance and Training to provide programmatic guidance to Ryan White HIV/AIDS programs in providing assistance to clients enrolling into expanded Medicaid and Marketplace coverage. He also works on the Data to Care project, which assists selected State health departments with the using HIV surveillance data to inform continuum of care activities. Sam is a proud graduate of the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!) and loves college football, even if the sport doesn’t always love him in return.
