Monetha Gaskin has been a HIV advocate for 10 years. She is currently the HIV Linkage and Data to Care Program (DTC) Coordinator within the STD/HIV Division of the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. Her primary role is to manage all aspects of the Data to Care program, provide data reporting, program evaluation, analysis and design support, and facilitate statewide community engagement activities with collaborative community partners.

Monetha has played an integral part in providing technical assistance to other jurisdictions implementing Data to Care. She has shared her knowledge and lessons learned with John Snow Inc. (JSI), Gears Inc., National Association of State and Territorial Apprenticeship Directors (NASTAD), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and DARE Global Innovations.
