High-Impact HIV Prevention in the South

Please join CBA@JSI, ETR, and the Latino Commission on AIDS (LCOA) for a two-day skills-building institute for community-based organization (CBO) HIV program staff, High-Impact HIV Prevention in the South. Plenary and break-out sessions will explore opportunities to enhance HIV prevention programs.

Session topics include:

  • Cultural Humility
  • Social Media Strategy Development
  • Social Networking Strategies for HIV Testing Recruitment
  • Medication Adherence Strategies
  • Leadership Development for Black MSM
  • Identifying Challenges and Solutions in HIP Program Implementation

Sessions will be facilitated by subject matter experts from CBA@JSI, ETR, and LCOA, and reflect the current needs and trends seen in today’s HIV/AIDS prevention landscape.

ARTAS for Managers Online Overview, Minimodules, and T.A. Sessions

The upcoming ARTAS (Anti-Retroviral Treatment and Access to Services) for managers and administrators series is geared to support managers and supervisors who oversee programs that are implementing ARTAS as part of CDC-funded initiatives for High Impact Prevention (HIP). This 3-part series includes a live webinar, which provides participants with an overview of key information managersneed to support their ARTAS staff, a series of 4 self-paced mini-modules to provide more detailed information on key components necessary to support the successful implementation of ARTAS, and finally a live technical assistance session where managers and supervisors have access to a panel of skilled capacity building providers to answer questions and help troubleshoot any issues or concerns.

After participating in the overview, four self-paced pre-recorded mini-modules, and live TA sessions, managers and supervisors of ARTAS programs will:

  • Describe how ARTAS fits within the national HIV prevention goals and high-impact prevention goals
  • Recognize the organizational supports needed for successful implementation of ARTAS
  • Identify where to obtain capacity building assistance to enhance implementation of ARTAS

The sessions will take place as follows:

  • Overview session: Wednesday, Feb 28th, 2018 (1pm EST12pm CST11am MST10am PST)
  • 4 on-demand Mini-modules: Thursday, Feb 29th, 2018 – Tuesday, Mar 27, 2018 (Complete on your own before the next session on March 27th, 2018.)
  • T.A. Session: Tuesday, Mar 27, 2018 (1pm EST12pm CST11am MST10am PST)
